New Christmas tree and other misc. pictures...

Before we went to Tim and Michelle's for Thanksgiving, Scott took the boys to see Papa Lasch.

I love getting pictures of the boys with him. He is looking good!

This was at Thanksgiving. This was the first year that I didn't have to sit with Caleb. He "graduated" to the kid's table. Very exciting!

Regan, Caleb, and Chandler.

Jordan and Tyler being silly.

Justin and Brendan being really silly!

Chandler and Nathanael.

Aunt Kim and Aunt Trish.

And finally, our new Christmas tree. It is much smaller than our one before. The boys don't like it, but Scott and I love it! The other one was just too big. This one is so much easier to manage and decorate, and the best part is...more room for presents!

Happy Thanksgiving

I pray everyone who reads this post has a blessed, safe Thanksgiving. We are going to Tim and Michelle's today. My mom is going to join us. Caleb is very excited. He is getting to be such a fun age. I changed my blog background for Christmas. I can't believe it is coming! We are putting our tree up tomorrow. It seems early, but all of our weekends are filling up quickly and we have time this weekend. Shopping tomorrow? Scott and I might brave it as I have bought nothing yet! I have been in denial. Yesterday, Kim brought to my attention that Monday was December 1, and I couldn't believe it! I have put a Christmas countdown on my homepage as a reminder. I tried to do it on my blog, but it wouldn't work. I realize this post is kind of rambling now, so I better stop. Happy Thanksgiving!

Operation Christmas Child

Today, we took a group of homeschoolers down to volunteer at the Operation Christmas Child warehouse in Orange County. We got a free t-shirt for helping out.

Here is Jessica and Nathanael working hard. All those boxes behind them are filled with shoe boxes!

Our job was to "presort" meaning we had to look through all the boxes and get any money out.

They had a good time.

Here is our group. It was a blessing and a lot of fun. I just could not believe how sore I was getting toward the end. I don't remember that from last year. It is a great experience to see all those shoe boxes and to know they will end up in the hands of a child half way around the world. They expect 14,000 volunteers at this facility during this season. It is very encouraging and inspiring to see how much time people put in to putting those shoe boxes together.

24

Since Lost isn't on right now, we were looking for a new show we could watch with the boys. We had always wanted to watch 24, and a while ago we had borrowed season 1 from my mom to watch. Well, we decided there was too much in it to make it not OK for the boys, so we didn't watch it again. Last week we found we could get a filter for it on our Max Play and we started watching it again. I realize I am six? maybe seven years behind? but I just have to say one thing. Why did his wife have to die?!?!? We just finished season one over the weekend and we were all so upset we don't even know if we want to watch season 2, but I went ahead and ordered it from Netflix, so, we will see!

Lunch with Caleb

Today, we had lunch with Caleb at preschool. He had a lot of fun on our, "picnic."

Scott was able to leave work to join us.
Jordan is getting a hair cut Saturday!
After lunch, they brought the bubbles out for the kids to play with. Caleb loves bubbles!

It was a nice time. I wish we could do it more often. It was very relaxing.

Buddy Walk 2008

Yesterday, we went to the Buddy Walk at Anaheim Stadium. It is an event to raise money to help people with Down syndrome. We walk to support my mom's, roommate's, daughter's, son, Trevor. (How did you like that sentence?) Trevor really likes Star Wars, so his dad made him and his brothers their very own R2D2. He was very cool. He ran on a remote control. Unfortunately, Caleb was afraid of him so we got no pictures with the boys; but, it was very cool!

We had to get a picture with this!

Claim Jumper was there giving away free samples of chocolate cake. Here is Caleb showing me he didn't like the walnuts on top.

He didn't have any problems eating it though. :)

Caleb got to play a little basketball.

He won this cool prize! Too bad it wasn't sunny out.

He played some more games.

Group picture.

Nathanael was enjoying himself.

We visited the Sheriff hummer.

Nathanael looks very comfortable in the driver's seat of this Anaheim Police car.

So does Caleb.

Another group picture.

As we were leaving, the boys wanted to "spin the wheel" to try and win a prize. Well, Nathanael and Jordan won "pins" and Caleb won a portable barbecue! He is having a lot of fun playing with the box. :-)
