Homeschooling science

Nathanael is taking his science at Biola Star this year. I don't really have to do that much with him. We have been having fun with his "egg" project this past week.

I should have taken a before picture, but since my camera broke, I just don't take that many pictures anymore. I don't like the boy's camera. I take horrible pictures with it. These were the best I got.

This egg last week was just a regular egg. It was soaked for a few days in vinegar and then in corn syrup.

It looks pretty cool now!

Now the egg has been given some food coloring and water. The jar next to it is Jordan's "mold" that he has been growing. Doesn't this make you want to come eat something at our house? LOL. We have fun science stuff on our kitchen counter.

Jordan with his mold. I think it is going in the trash now.

I liked this picture of the egg with the red food coloring. The flash made it too bright, but I thought it looked cool!

Wow! That's pretty cool. I always loved that kind of stuff. My kids didn't have those fun experiments in public school...the most they did was plant a lima bean and bring home a cup of dirt and wait anxiously for it to pop through the dirt..LOL
